LGBTQIA+/Queer Identity Support Group

Start Date: July 31, 6:30 pm-7:30 pm

About this Group

Have you been looking for a space to connect with other LGBTQIA+/Queer folks? It can be so hard to find spaces like this after college when so many of those resources and spaces disappear. Also, making friends as an adult is hard, especially when you are still trying to figure out who you are.

This group is an affirming space where you can be yourself without judgment and connect with others who get it. It’s a place to share your experiences and talk about your joys, difficulties, questions, and struggles.

This group will be a place to explore your identity, build self-care and self-compassion, and reduce isolation. You will find understanding, support, and friendship here. Join us to connect, share, and grow in a space that values and understands you.

We are affirming of trans and two-spirit folks, and Queer people of color.

The group will not be the best fit for people who are passed the post-college life stage. If you are in your mid to late 30s and are in a long term committed partnership, you might feel like this group is a bit young for you. Also folks who have severe symptoms that get in the way of building connections, such as if you have suicidal thoughts you are not able to manage, or  extreme social anxiety that prevents you from speaking in the group at at all, you may find this group difficult to fully engage in at this time.
